Warriors on the Wall
RIOT 1394 brings the speed and physical force of mural painting into the gallery.

The wall was conceived as part of the exhibition from the beginning.
Keep the street in the room
RIOT 1394 works with spray paint, characters, saturated colour and a visual language built through the street. The speed and physicality remain visible inside the gallery.
Warriors kept rough edges, scale and direct gesture intact, preserving the pressure of the street language.

From the JournalStreet energy belongs inside the gallery with its force intact.
Scale before decoration
The mural changes the proportions of the space. Smaller works become more intense beside it because the wall establishes a different level of visual pressure.
The mural acts as architecture and forces every other object in the exhibition to negotiate with it.

Characters as visual force
RIOT 1394 uses characters as a way to compress attitude, humour and aggression into immediately readable forms. They can be funny and confrontational at the same time.
That tension gives the work energy on the street and inside the gallery.
