Paper Love
Theodoro Autops approached Mauer Gallery with the wish to make an exhibition in Berlin. The connection with the work was immediate, and Paper Love grew from that encounter into a focused presentation of drawings and paintings built around his direct graphic language.
A recurring figure, a red heart and a small vocabulary of gestures carry the exhibition. Repetition turns simple forms into character, rhythm and emotion.

Line, repetition and affection
Autops reduces the figure to a few decisive elements: round forms, oversized hands, a face stripped to its essentials and gestures that stay instantly readable. The heart introduces warmth, vulnerability and humour.
Across individual drawings and repeated sequences, the same character keeps changing mood. The economy of the line gives each variation unusual clarity.
Small drawings, large gestures
Paper Love moved between intimate works on paper and larger painted pieces. The installation let the character expand in scale while keeping the same directness of line.
The result was a compact exhibition where drawing, painting and repetition worked as one visual language. The gallery became part of the composition, with white walls, black line and red accents carrying the work through the room.
