Tino Pizza builds an exaggerated visual world through painting, sculptural characters, handmade objects, graphics and installation. The work is immediate and comic, but also unusually detailed in the way a recurring cast of figures becomes an environment. Carte Blanche at Mauer Gallery expanded that world across the whole room, allowing objects, wall work and character design to operate together.
