Keep the street in the room
RIOT 1394 works with spray paint, characters, saturated colour and a visual language built through the street. Bringing that work inside only makes sense if the speed and physicality remain visible.
Warriors kept rough edges, scale and direct gesture intact instead of translating the work into a safer gallery version.

Scale before decoration
The mural changes the proportions of the space. Smaller works become more intense beside it because the wall establishes a different level of visual pressure.
This is not decoration around framed pieces. The mural acts as architecture and forces every other object in the exhibition to negotiate with it.
Characters as visual force
RIOT 1394 uses characters as a way to compress attitude, humour and aggression into immediately readable forms. They can be funny and confrontational at the same time.
That tension is what makes the work function both on the street and inside the gallery. It does not depend on one context to have energy.
