Julia Gaudard / Zusammen II

Zusammen II continued Julia Gaudard’s exploration of figures, groups and the visual structures that hold them together. Larger paintings and smaller works use simplified character forms, repeated geometries and controlled colour to create images that feel playful and architectural at once. The title, together, matters: the works are not isolated icons so much as parts of a wider population. Their differences become more visible through proximity. Installed across the gallery, the paintings create changing relationships between scale, colour and the movement of visitors through the room. Zusammen II also marked an early formulation of a language that would later develop further in Gathering.
